New Annotated RB Tiers

My unique-format RB Rankings in Dynasty Are Fully Updated for the 2024 Season

Hey folks,

I know long-time readers of mine will be excited for this one, and hopefully new subs will enjoy it too:

I will have my full dynasty rankings update done by end of day when you’re reading this (Monday). But prior to that, I have redone my Annotated RB Tiers.

These are Dynasty RB Rankings tiered according to my “Base Pick” value system: [Base pick = a hypothetical pick in that round, a year out, that has equal odds of finishing anywhere between 1-12]

But I also add a colour-coded archetype chart on the left, that breaks each back down into 4 classifications:

• Production Class: Projected scoring range in the upcoming season

• Contingent Class: Contingent production value in the case of an injury in the backfield

• Asset Class: Based on asset stability: are they a core piece, high-upside piece, or more speculative?

• Age Class: Where is the player in the age curve, and have they showed decline yet?

There is a legend which explains in the rankings sheet in further detail.

Then I list their ADP and whether I consider each RB a buy, a sell, or whether I think their market is efficient.

I also have a brief one-line note on each player.

My hope with this is that this will give you a good way of viewing each back beyond just a linear ranking. I know it’s a product people have liked in the past so I’m excited to have it fully updated before the year kicks off and dynasty season swings fully into action.

I also think for season-long players, especially Hero or Zero RB drafters, this is a nice cheat sheet of who to target for different roles in your RB room. This asset classification system is the same one I use in-season in my Streamer Index in the Hitchhiker’s Guide.
