Hello and welcome to the Week 3 Streamer Stock Watch. In this piece I will run through my weekly thoughts on every “streamer” — aka running backs drafted outside the top-72 picks (FFPC ADP).
Very quickly before we move on I want to touch on a couple quick items.
If you are in a redraft league with trades, please go send an offer out for Cam Skattebo or Bhayshul Tuten. I consider each of these backs nearly certain to increase their workload substantially over the course of the season and I think each will be a defining part of the 2025 stretch run. If you can trade a current starting player who you can get by without (WR3 or RB2) for one of these players before they fully blow up… do it.
We did not anticipate the severity of the Zach Charbonnet foot injury in the Sunday Drive. Now that he’s doubtful this week I wanted to touch on my expectations for Ken Walker. I understand the team may prefer to keep him fresh by limiting his touches… I don’t think they will do that here. Charbonnet is definitely not Walker but he is a reliable backup who could start for a handful or more teams in this league. The RB3 — George Holani — was interesting in the pre-season but has zero track record. I expect Walker to see a massive percentage of the touches this week even if he gives up some low-calorie snaps on pass protection downs. I’m shocked by the negative sentiment on Walker in response to my tweets about him, so maybe his ownership won’t be as high as it should be in DFS (it will still be high).
My expectation is that D’Andre Swift plays. If he does not, I’d rank Monangai in the range with all the other rookies below Dobbins in the streamers catgeory

Week 2 Sunday Drive
Hello and welcome to the Week 2 Sunday Drive. In this piece, we’ll walk through the usage and performance in notable backfields across the NFL, as well as any injuries that could shift the balance of touches moving forward.
As always, the idea here is to give you start/sit advice in the near term for teams relying on these backs, along with a longer-view dynasty stance. Often once contingent plays start to rank at the top of the board, these backs are core decision-points in DFS lineups. The steamers are ranked in order of my preference in starting them in the coming week, both by tier and within each tier.
For the early-weeks I’m also going to include some key rookies who were drafted in the top-72 but who folks may be questioning when to start until / unless their roles grow over time.
The categorizations listed below each player are taken from the format of my pre-season annotated RB tiers. Refer to the legend below for what each term mean: (or ask in the comments if you need more clarification)
