Hi Jakob, love having these actionable ranks handy. Heading into a startup tomorrow, any idea when a July update is getting pushed through? Don’t mean to rush you at all, I was just perusing the ranks and noticed some changes that you’ll probably make (Lance + Purdy, for example). Thanks!
Hi Jakob! Really appreciate your work. In particular I love the breakdown of player values into base 1s as more actionable measurement for a tier based approach.
I'm about to start my first auction league startup. I'm curious if there's a quick and dirty conversion of a "base 1" to a percentage of auction startup dollars that you have in your brain. My initial thought is that a base 1 would be worth about 5% to 10% of total auction budget, but I'm curious what your thoughts are. Thanks!
Context: it's a superflex tep league with pretty normal bench/roster settings and no weird scoring bonuses.
curious your thoughts on guys like Pollard (lol I know we are both Stans) and Josh Jacobs. Pollard coming off injury and is the clear guy. Jacobs the clear guy but had that scary total touch number close to 400. Both guys on tags, in dyno what are your thoughts? also have Bijan, thinking I should maybe cash out on one of Pollard/Jacobs but have always been adamant defenders of both. torn but think I should move off one or both. wrs are JJeff, AJB, Tee, Cooks, Metchie, Zay Flowers, Marvin Mims, Rashee Rice. ppr, non-superflex, 2 flex, 6pt td. qb are Burrow/Herbert, TE is weak with Dulcich, Higbee, Juwan Johnson. love your work man
Hey Jakob. Very happy I subscribed. Great work here. A quick Mattison question....are you moving him up a tier in dynasty? I was thinking of trying to trade him for something like Miller + Bigsby, both to diversify and to realize the value gain. I do not have confidence that Mattison is going to get a Cook-level workload, especially if the Vikings add someone like Fournette or Zeke). Am I in the right ballpark?
Great work man. Quick Q, I know there’s some interpretation to the order of players within a tier and some of that could come from whether you are in a start up or not. You have Chase/Jeff in the same tier but above TLaw and Herb. In a startup, are you likely to lean to TLaw or Herb from a roster construction standpoint?

Likely won’t do a full re-rank until post-training camp news (not a lot has changed)
But I will do a sweep shortly just to clean up some responses to legitimate changes (Lance / Purdy, Burks / Hop etc)
Awesome, thanks for your hard work.

I’ve mapped it out before and I think there are roughly ~14 base 1s value per team excluding future year picks
So 1 base 1 = approx 7%
Makes sense. Appreciate the input and keep up the great work!

Would depend on league settings but yes in general I break ties within tiers to the QB in a startup for roster construction purposes
